Christian came to CCNB after hearing about the internship opportunities we offer with various county agencies, which are intended to be a pathway to county employment. Since becoming a corpsmember Christian worked on our Career Pathways Program / Internship crew with the Sonoma County Water Agency where he learned about native species, how to operate a chainsaw, maintain power tools, and how to be an effective leader. “Being on the Intern crew really helped build my self-confidence.”

In March of this year, Christian was recognized as CCNB’s “Corpsmember of the Month” due to his dedication and leadership. He is well on his path, as he was also recently hired as a Maintenance Worker with Sonoma Water, earning a living wage.

“CNBB helped me get clear and then step into the type of conservation work I like. My goal is to work in the Natural Resources Management field and to become an expert on native species.”
